Kareena Kapoor will soon flag off a travel blog in which she will recount her visits to various destinations around the globe on film shoots. Says Kapoor, "My journey as a writer started with essays in school. More recently, I wrote the introduction for my dietician Rujuta Divekar's book, Don't Your Mind, Lose Your Weight, and rediscovered my talent for penning my thoughts." The actor is currently in London, shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for his superhero fantasy, Ra.One.
She insists that writing has helped her evolve as a person. And now, family and friends are keen that she publishes her writings. "Eventually I will," she says. "But meanwhile, there are several interesting anecdotes from my travels that I can share directly with my fans."
Kapoor will also be writing the introduction to Divekar's next book that deals with working women and health issues. Meanwhile, after waiting for a year-and-a-half, iampriyankachopra.com, Priyanka Chopra's personal website, went 'live'. And since Sunday, 6 pm, it has already been accessed by over a lakh fans. When asked why she hadn't opted for priyankachopra.com, the actor said that it wasn't available!
"I was 17 when I won the Miss World title but even back then, when I'd checked, the domain name had been taken," she informs, describing her website as a much-desired online scrapbook. "The look will change everyday and sometime soon, you will be able to see my childhood photographs and other memorabilia on it."
For now it features her tweets, Facebook updates, wallpapers, ringtones, exclusive videos and photos from her shoots for free downloading. There's also a section for fans to write to her and one for press interactions.
Says Chopra, "The latter is an application you would hardly ever find on any other celebrity website. Since there are so many rumours about me circulating, I thought it was necessary. If someone wants an official confirmation on any story, they can subscribe to my website and ask for it. My team will check its credibility and revert."
However, she insists that she will not talk about her personal life on this public platform or let anyone peep into her private space. "Even in my tweets, I don't give away too much," she points out.
Kapoor on the other hand finds blogging far more interactive than Twitter, Facebook or even a website: "Readers can ask questions, critically analyse anything I write or kick off discussions. It bring us a lot closer."

Heir to the erstwhile princely state of Bhareh in Uttar Pradesh, Anant Narayan is all set to make his Bollywood debut and says his royal background "never stopped" him from living his dreams, be it as a journalist or as an actor.
"My royal background never stopped me from doing anything. It gave me the boost to step out of my cocoon. I wanted to prove myself and earn the position of a prince that I have been honoured with since birth," Anant, 23, told IANS. Bhareh is in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh.
Anant will debut alongside actress Ayesha Takia in "Hamesha I Will Love You" .
"I agree I live a luxurious life and have people working for me, but that never fascinated me. I have worked as a freelance journalist, I have done my schooling from Modern School and my graduation in history from Delhi University's Venkateswara College."
"It would be wrong to say that by choosing this profession I would be working under someone because I am a free entity," he said.
Anant claims Bollywood has accepted him with open arms and he is tied up with a yearl-ong commitment.
"I have my hands full with a lot of projects lined up for the whole year, though I am in the initial stages of my film career. I am bombarded with scripts and endorsement offers," he said.
"I have a total of nine scripts with me, of which I'm currently negotiating on four. And for these four, it's a thumbs up from my end. The acceptance that I have received from the industry makes me feel overwhelmed.
"I have faith in destiny. A newcomer like me, who has no support from the industry, could have found it difficult to make a mark. But fortunately I didn't have to go knocking the doors of filmmakers."
"I also have two Hollywood projects but unfortunately I am not allowed to talk about them or reveal the details."
Anant's film, "Hamesha I Will Love You", is slated to go on the floors this year. It is being produced by Film Feast Creators and will be directed by Revathy S. Varmha.
